Italy is famous for its wines, thus the traditions of good wine and good food are indivisibly entwined in the towns and countryside of Tuscany.
The level of consumption of wine since medieval times has always been high, along with traditional staples such as bread, pasta, fresh vegetables and olive oil.
Historically wine was seen as part of our daily eating and drinking habit, and was drunk copiously by the lowest classes.

The change in consumer habits has driven forward today’s marketing and appreciation of our regional wines.
The Bordeaux style bottle has for the most part substituted the old style fiaschi (flask, a round bottomed hand blown glass bottle with a woven straw covering).
As a result of this evolution, winemaking in Tuscany has been the centre of enormous renewal and innovation.
Today’s wines are the result of much study and experimentation, both in the cellars and in the selection of grape varieties.
This cultural development has stimulated the consumption of regional specialties and is coupled with a new sensitivity for the value of the countryside and its heritage of art and history.
