The annual Brunello fair takes place in the Montalcino fortress, on occasion of the newly released five-year-old vintage.
While the tasting is by invite only for press and buyers, the small town comes to life amidst the excitement of producers and connoisseurs alike.
You’ll also find events open to the public, but parking is difficult over the four-day event; take advantage of the shuttle bus.
