Winery location: selection from the Vigna Matta - 180m a.s.l.
Harvest: hand picked. Vinification: in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation temperature is controlled. The duration of maceration on the skins is 20 days.
Aging: 12 months in little French oak barrels of 225 litres of second and third passage and at least 3 months in bottle.
Color: deep purple red.
Bouquet: deep tabacco and liquorice notes well melted with red and black fruits and vanilla flavours.
Taste: it is full and strong, its good structure and sweet tannins make it elegant and thin. It is long and has a sweet finish. Il Matto delle Giuncaie is a wine with an original character. A wine that will reward the waiting. Can be served with game and grilled meat.
