Figs and Walnuts Panforte
The recipe of figs and walnuts panforte dates back to the 50’s and it is a delicious recipe akin to the classic Panforte
of Siena.
As getting the ingredients for the panforte was sometimes quite hard more readily available ingredients in the small local markets
were used instead.
It is as tender and scented as the original, with its peculiar tangs of walnuts and figs.
Alvara, who has worked for Marabissi for many years, suggests trying it on its own or with semimature cheese, because the
fragrance of the figs and walnuts is excellent with the taste of cheese.
