Ruzzola Game
Petricci, Semproniano (Grosseto)
The re-enactment of this ancient game serves to reconstruct a certain social environment.
The Petricci ruzzola consists of a wooden or metal disc, wound in a long string, which is thrown as far as possible. Several teams take part, throwing the ruzzola along the course in an effort to toss the disc as far as the finishing line, called the ‘salmo’.
