As far as we know artichokes have been grown in Chiusure for many centuries even if extensive cultivations did not exist.
Chiusure produces such good artichokes because the climate is right all year round, but the main factor is the soil which is so special.
The quality of the artichokes is the result of local cultivation and traditional methods of transformation.
They are eaten as antipasti or served as a side dish to meat and accompanied by red wine.
